An online survey of cannabis consumers, conducted via social media, shows the average vape user is younger than non-vape users.

The vaporizer heats the oil into vapor, avoiding the combustion process. The advantages of smoking cannabis with a pen are the same whether you’re consuming CBD or powerful cannabis concentrates. 

The non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp, CBD or cannabidiol is one of the fastest-growing sections of the cannabis market, though it is hemp-derived and legally distinct from weed. Vaping cannabis delivers a more potent high, and as the use grows across the country, consumers are looking for ways that deliver stronger effects.

Studies also show that when users vape cannabidiol, their bodies absorb more of the compound compared to edibles and oil. When vaping CBD, the human body absorbs a higher percentage of its compounds somewhere between 34 and 46 percent. On the other hand, the absorption rate with edibles is around 10 percent.

Due to underage e-cigarette use, there is a great push to restrict the sale of vaporizers. The distinction between tobacco and cannabis or CBD-containing products is not always clear. There are also several debates about whether liquid options are healthier than smoking dry herb. There is a concern that dry herb produces tar and carcinogens that could produce cancer. In this case, vaping could represent a healthier alternative.
