The precious “Juul” of the e-cig

In the short lifespan that the vaping industry has had thus far, it has seen a great number of advancements. One such advancement is the Juul vaporizer. Small in stature but packing quite the punch the Juul vaporizer is just a bit larger than the size of a flash drive but holds the promise of being the future of the vaping game. It has even been dubbed, “the iPhone of e-cigs”.

With its invention, Juul simplifies vaping for its users, especially those who are new to the novelty and often find the variation of choices in machines, liquids, and modifications to be very daunting. It offers the convenience of eight flavors to choose from in easily replaceable pods.

Unlike the average vape, the Juul does not have a refillable tank so users won’t need to walk with a bottle of e-liquid in addition to an already large and cumbersome machine. Measuring approximately ten centimeters in length, its discreet design allows the user to transport it in their pocket. To charge the device, the user can simply insert the charging port into a USB port. It takes about an hour to charge and has an LED display to indicate its level of charge.

These intricate details make the Juul the ideal device for vapers on the go. It has caught the attention of teens, so much that its name has become the latest habit, known as “juuling”. This has since caught the attention of school officials, governments, and parents, prompting immediate action.

Recent studies from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have found that e-cigarette use among teens increased by almost ten times in the last five years which is a major cause for concern and raises the question as to how such a vast majority of the teenage population is accessing e-cig products in spite of prevention methods. Juul has even admitted that their increase in sales may be attributed to their teenage clientele but that such practices are against what they stand for. With such a stance, it may be safe to say that the future of Juul seems quite secure.
